Stainless Steel Maintenance-Free Rod End Bearings – PHS..EC & POS..EC

INR Bearings supplies stainless steel maintenance-free rod end bearings for applications requiring corrosion resistance, smooth oscillating movement and reliable long-term performance.

The PHS..EC series features a female internal thread, while the POS..EC series features a male external thread. Metric sizes, right-hand threads and left-hand threads are available to meet different equipment and installation requirements.

Our stainless steel rod ends are available with AISI 304 or AISI 316 stainless steel housings, combined with hardened AISI 420, 440 or 440C stainless steel spherical balls and a PTFE self-lubricating liner.

The PTFE sliding layer provides low-friction movement and a maintenance-free design without routine re-lubrication. Different stainless steel material combinations can be selected according to operating conditions, corrosion-resistance requirements and target cost.

AISI 304 stainless steel provides good general corrosion resistance and is suitable for many food-processing, packaging, automation and clean industrial applications.

AISI 316 stainless steel offers enhanced resistance to chlorides and more aggressive environments, making it particularly suitable for marine, coastal, chemical-processing, wash-down and outdoor applications.

AISI 420, 440 and 440C stainless steels provide different combinations of hardness, wear resistance, corrosion resistance and cost. The appropriate ball material can be selected according to the customer’s technical and commercial requirements.
